Description

This Air Fryer Egg & Cheese Toast is the ultimate breakfast upgrade—crispy golden bread cradling a creamy, runny (or fully set!) egg and melted cheese. It’s quick, easy, and delicious, making it perfect for hectic mornings or a relaxed weekend brunch.


Ingredients

2 slices thick-cut bread

2 large eggs

½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)

1 tablespoon butter or mayo (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley or chives, chopped (optional)


Instructions

1. Use a spoon to press down the center of each bread slice, creating a shallow well.

2. Lightly spread butter or mayo on both sides of the bread.

3. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges of the well, creating a cheesy border.

4. Carefully crack an egg into the center of each slice.

5. Season with salt, pepper, and any desired spices (like paprika or garlic powder).

6. Place slices in the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (175°C) for 6–8 minutes, depending on yolk preference.

7. Remove from air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving.

Notes

If your bread is too thin or your egg too large, remove a bit of egg white to prevent overflow.

For a runny yolk, cook closer to 6 minutes; for firmer yolks, go to 8 minutes.

Lightly toasting the bread before assembling adds extra crispiness and helps hold the egg better.
