Description

This Alfredo Sauce with Cream Cheese Pasta is an ultra-creamy, comforting dish perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy gatherings. Cream cheese brings a luscious tang that melts smoothly into a rich Parmesan sauce, coating every noodle in indulgent flavor.

Ingredients

1 pound fettuccine pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic minced

8 ounces cream cheese softened

1 cup milk

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley optional

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.

2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Lower the heat and add cream cheese to the skillet. Stir constantly as it softens and melts into a thick base.

4. Gradually pour in the milk while stirring until the sauce becomes smooth and gently simmers.

5. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until completely melted. Season with salt and pepper. Use reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency if needed.

6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until every strand is coated in the sauce. Heat for another 1–2 minutes.

7. Serve immediately with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan, if desired.

Notes

Let the cream cheese come to room temperature before cooking to ensure smooth melting.

Always reserve pasta water—it’s perfect for thinning the sauce without losing flavor.

To reheat leftovers, stir in a splash of milk over low heat to bring the creaminess back.
