Ingredients
1 pound ground chicken or ground pork
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
3 green onions, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon chili crisp
2 cups chopped bok choy or spinach
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon sesame oil
24 dumpling wrappers or wonton wrappers
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons broth or water
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 green onions, sliced for garnish
1 small carrot, julienned
Instructions
1. Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken or pork and cook until browned.
2. Stir in the garlic, ginger, sliced green onions, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, chili crisp, and chopped bok choy or spinach. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, ricotta cheese, sour cream, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil until smooth.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons broth or water, 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, and 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil.
5. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
6. Spread a thin layer of the creamy mixture on the bottom of the dish. Add a layer of dumpling wrappers, then meat filling, then more creamy mixture, and a light drizzle of soy sauce mixture.
7. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with dumpling wrappers on top.
8. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 to 12 minutes more until hot and glossy.
9. Let rest for 10 minutes, then garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and julienned carrot before serving.
Notes
Use wonton wrappers if dumpling wrappers are easier to find.
Let the lasagna rest before slicing so the layers hold together better.
Add extra chili crisp on top for a spicier finish.
