Description

Crispy golden shrimp, creamy spicy sauce, and fresh toppings wrapped in warm tortillas—Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos are bursting with flavor and perfect for quick weeknight dinners or fun gatherings. They deliver heat, crunch, and freshness in every bite.


Ingredients

1 lb medium or large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/3 cup cornstarch or all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

6 small flour tortillas

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup grape tomatoes, halved

2 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)

Bang Bang Sauce:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

12 tsp sriracha (adjust to taste)


Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and place in a bowl.
  2. Toss shrimp with cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry shrimp in batches for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the sauce.
  5. Toss hot shrimp in the sauce or drizzle on top.
  6. Warm tortillas. Layer with lettuce, tomatoes, and shrimp. Drizzle extra sauce and garnish with cilantro if using.
