Ingredients
250 g ground beef
4 cups chopped iceberg or romaine lettuce
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
½ cup dill pickle slices
¼ cup diced red onion
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 tablespoons sweet relish
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon white vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart and seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic or onion powder.
- Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
- Chop lettuce, halve the tomatoes, dice the red onion, and slice the pickles.
- Set aside. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, garlic powder, onion powder, and vinegar to make the sauce. Assemble the salad by layering lettuce, ground beef, tomatoes, pickles, red onion, and shredded cheddar.
- Drizzle generously with Big Mac sauce or serve it on the side.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Use lean ground beef (85/15 or 90/10) for the best balance of flavor and less grease.
Prepare components in advance but assemble just before serving to keep it fresh.
Make it keto by using sugar-free ketchup in the sauce.
