Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: If using homemade, combine warm milk, sugar, yeast, eggs, and flour. Knead with softened butter and let rise until doubled. For store-bought, rest at room temp.
- Make Filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, and optional lemon zest.
- Roll Out Dough: Roll into a rectangle on a floured surface, about 1/4-inch thick.
- Spread and Fill: Evenly spread cream cheese mixture, then sprinkle with blueberries.
- Roll and Slice: Tightly roll into a log and slice into 10–12 rolls.
- Rise Again: Arrange in a greased dish. Cover and let rise for 20–30 minutes.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
