Ingredients

Cream cheese

Fresh blueberries

Granulated sugar

Vanilla extract

Soft roll dough (homemade or store-bought)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Lemon zest (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: If using homemade, combine warm milk, sugar, yeast, eggs, and flour. Knead with softened butter and let rise until doubled. For store-bought, rest at room temp.
  2. Make Filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, and optional lemon zest.
  3. Roll Out Dough: Roll into a rectangle on a floured surface, about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Spread and Fill: Evenly spread cream cheese mixture, then sprinkle with blueberries.
  5. Roll and Slice: Tightly roll into a log and slice into 10–12 rolls.
  6. Rise Again: Arrange in a greased dish. Cover and let rise for 20–30 minutes.
  7. Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  8. Finish: Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar. Add extra blueberries for garnish.
