Description
A creamy, comforting pasta dish that combines Cajun-spiced chicken with a luscious mozzarella and parmesan cheese sauce, all tossed with tender bowtie pasta. Perfect for cozy dinners or entertaining guests.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts or tenders
1 ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups heavy cream
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
8 oz bowtie pasta
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear in butter and olive oil over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and rest.
2. Cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
3. In the same pan, sauté garlic in butter. Add cream and simmer. Stir in mozzarella and parmesan until melted. Season to taste.
4. Toss pasta into sauce. Loosen with pasta water if needed.
5. Slice chicken and serve over pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
Don’t overcook the chicken; internal temp should reach 165°F.
Stir the sauce frequently to avoid cheese clumping.
Let the pasta rest in the sauce for a minute before serving for better absorption.
