  • Author: Jam Scott
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Description

A nostalgic, creamy noodle dish that tastes just like the classic school cafeteria version. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s rich, buttery, and incredibly comforting. Serve as a hearty side or a main dish for weeknight ease.

Ingredients

12 oz egg noodles

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup chicken broth (low sodium recommended)

1/2 cup sour cream

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Reduce heat to low and mix in sour cream until fully incorporated. Do not boil.
  4. Return noodles to the pot and stir to coat with the sauce. Heat through for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley if desired.
