Description
A flavor-packed skillet meal featuring Cajun-spiced steak bites seared in garlic butter, paired with cheese-filled tortellini tossed in a creamy Parmesan Alfredo sauce. Comfort food with a spicy, indulgent twist perfect for weeknights or dinner guests.
Ingredients
1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, cubed
9 ounces cheese-stuffed tortellini (fresh or frozen)
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat steak cubes dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let rest 10 minutes at room temperature.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sear steak in batches, cooking 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3. Lower heat. Add butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in a pinch more Cajun seasoning.
4. In a separate pot, cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
5. Add heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan. Let sauce thicken, 3–4 minutes.
6. Fold tortellini into Alfredo sauce. Return steak to the pan or serve on top. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For maximum tenderness, avoid overcooking the steak—medium-rare to medium is ideal.
Fresh tortellini works best, but frozen is fine—just adjust cooking time accordingly.
Let the steak rest after cooking to keep juices inside and enhance flavor.
