Description

This Cajun Steak Tips with Cheesy Penne Parmesan Sauce is a bold and creamy comfort dish that brings together juicy seasoned steak tips and a rich, cheesy penne pasta. Perfect for weeknight indulgence or serving up a showstopper meal on the weekend.

Ingredients

1 pound steak tips (sirloin or ribeye), cut into cubes

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

8 ounces penne pasta

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 ounces cream cheese

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

2. Pat steak tips dry. Toss with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high. Add steak tips and sear for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove and tent with foil.

4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Whisk in cream cheese until smooth.

6. Stir in parmesan and mozzarella cheese gradually until melted and the sauce becomes thick and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.

7. Add cooked penne to the sauce and stir to coat evenly. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen.

8. Plate pasta and top with Cajun steak tips. Garnish with chopped parsley and cracked black pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the creamiest sauce, use freshly grated cheese—not pre-shredded.

Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing steak tips; it ensures a nice crust.

If the sauce thickens too much, use the reserved pasta water or a splash of milk to bring it back to the right consistency.
