Description

This Cheesy Crack Chicken Dip is a warm, creamy, flavor-packed appetizer loaded with shredded chicken, crispy bacon, ranch seasoning, and melted cheddar cheese. It is an easy recipe for game day, holiday gatherings, party food ideas, and quick snack tables, making it one of those easy appetizer recipes everyone asks for again.


Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 cups cooked shredded chicken

1 cup sour cream

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

2 green onions, thinly sliced

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped parsley, optional

tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for serving


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning until smooth.

3. Stir in the shredded chicken, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, bacon, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper.

4. Spread the mixture into a baking dish or pie plate.

5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the top.

6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

7. Remove from the oven and top with parsley if desired.

8. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Rotisserie chicken makes this dip even quicker and adds extra flavor.

For a spicier version, mix in diced jalapeños or a few dashes of hot sauce.

You can assemble the dip a day ahead, refrigerate it, and bake just before serving.
