Description
This festive Christmas Taco Cheese Ball Wreath is a bold, flavorful appetizer made with creamy cheeses and zesty taco seasoning, shaped into a holiday wreath and topped with fresh bell peppers and herbs. It’s perfect for gatherings and easy to make ahead.
Ingredients
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup sour cream
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
¼ cup green onions, finely chopped
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
¼ cup red bell pepper, diced
¼ cup green bell pepper, diced
1 jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)
Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
1. Let the cream cheese come to room temperature to soften.
2. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sour cream, taco seasoning, green onions, and cilantro until well combined.
3. Lay plastic wrap on your counter. Spoon the mixture into the center and shape it into a ring or wreath shape, using a small bowl in the center for support if needed. Wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
4. Unwrap and transfer the chilled wreath to a serving platter. Garnish with diced bell peppers, more cilantro, and optional jalapeños.
5. Serve surrounded by tortilla chips or crackers.
Notes
Let the cheese ball rest 10–15 minutes at room temperature before serving for easier spreading.
For a spicy version, add hot sauce or use spicy taco seasoning.
Garnish right before serving to keep bell peppers crisp and vibrant.
