Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
1 cup brown sugar packed
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2/3 cup unsalted butter softened
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ounces cream cheese softened (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until smooth, then fold in melted butter.
4. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
5. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and softened butter until smooth.
6. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the batter. Use a knife to swirl.
7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla (and cream cheese if using) until smooth.
