Description

Creamy Baked Chicken and Asparagus is a one-pan dinner packed with juicy chicken breasts, crisp asparagus, and a garlic-infused parmesan cream sauce. It’s cheesy, comforting, and made with simple ingredients—perfect for a weeknight meal or an easy crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a large baking dish.

2. Pat chicken breasts dry and pound to even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

4. Pour in heavy cream and stir in parmesan. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Arrange asparagus in a single layer in the prepared dish. Lay chicken breasts on top.

6. Pour garlic cream sauce over the chicken and asparagus. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top.

7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

8. Broil for 1–2 minutes if desired for golden cheese.

9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For even cooking, pound chicken breasts to the same thickness before baking.

If using thicker asparagus, consider par-blanching them for 2 minutes before baking.

Sauce too thick after reheating? Add a splash of cream or chicken broth to revive it.
