Description

This Creamy Chicken Tortellini with Spinach and Garlic Parmesan Cheese is a weeknight dream: ready in under 45 minutes, packed with flavor, and all made in one pan. Juicy seasoned chicken tops a bed of cheese-filled tortellini tossed in a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce with fresh spinach. It’s indulgent without being too heavy—perfect for guests or a family dinner.


Ingredients

1 lb chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)

9 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)

2 cups fresh spinach

1 cup heavy cream

3 cloves garlic, minced

3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons butter (divided)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1

/4 teaspoon red chili flakes


Instructions

  1. 1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
  4. Remove and rest. In a separate pot, cook tortellini according to package directions.
  5. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water. In the skillet, reduce heat to medium.
  6. Add remaining 1 tablespoon butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  7. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits.
  8. Simmer 2–3 minutes. Add heavy cream, then bring to a gentle simmer.
  9. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  10. Slice chicken. Add tortellini to the sauce and stir to coat. If needed, add pasta water to loosen sauce.
  11. Top with chicken and serve hot. Sprinkle extra Parmesan or chili flakes if desired.

Notes

Don’t overcook the tortellini—fresh pasta cooks fast and can get mushy.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melt and flavor.

To make ahead, cook and slice the chicken in advance and refrigerate.
