Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 lemon, zested and juiced
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in lemon zest and juice. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and cracked black pepper.
- Add drained pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and more Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.
