Creamy Velveeta Spaghetti with Italian Beef Marinara

  • Author: Jam Scott

Description

A rich, creamy spaghetti dish made with melty Velveeta cheese, Italian-seasoned ground beef, and savory marinara, all broiled to perfection with bubbly cheese on top. This is comfort food made simple and family-approved.

Ingredients

12 oz spaghetti noodles

1 lb lean ground beef

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

1 small yellow onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain grease if needed.

3. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 5–7 minutes.

4. Lower heat and stir in cubed Velveeta. Stir constantly until melted and smooth. Add a splash of pasta water if sauce is too thick.

5. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet or combine in a large bowl. Toss to coat pasta in the creamy beef sauce.

6. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella.

7. Broil on high for 3–5 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch closely.

8. Remove from oven, rest for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Don’t overcook the spaghetti — al dente texture holds up better when baked.

Add a splash of milk or reserved pasta water to reheat and keep it creamy.

Mozzarella is optional, but it adds a beautiful golden finish under the broiler.
