Description

These Crock Pot Chicken Legs are fall-off-the-bone tender and slow-cooked in a savory-sweet garlic soy glaze. Perfect for busy weeknights or a no-fuss family dinner, this recipe takes minimal effort and delivers maximum flavor.


Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks

½ cup soy sauce

⅓ cup brown sugar

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, sliced

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

1. Optional: Sear the chicken legs in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes per side to add flavor and lock in juices.

2. Layer sliced onion at the bottom of your crock pot.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, paprika, and pepper.

4. Place chicken drumsticks over the onions.

5. Pour sauce mixture evenly over the chicken.

6. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours until chicken is fully cooked and tender.

7. Optional: Transfer cooked chicken to a foil-lined baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.

Notes

Searing the chicken first is optional but adds richer flavor and a golden crust.
