Description

These Decadent Orange Chocolate Truffles are the perfect blend of rich dark chocolate and bright citrus flavor. With a creamy orange ganache center and a smooth chocolate coating, they make a delightful addition to any dessert table, holiday gift box, or after-dinner treat. Perfect for quick party snacks, easy dessert ideas, or homemade edible gifts, this recipe delivers all the flavor in elegant bite-sized form. A must-try for chocolate and citrus lovers alike!

Ingredients

1 cup white chocolate chips

0.25 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

2 teaspoons orange zest (freshly grated)

0.5 teaspoon orange extract

orange food coloring (optional)

8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

1 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening (optional)

chocolate sprinkles for rolling

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine white chocolate chips, heavy cream, and butter. Stir continuously until smooth.

2. Remove from heat and stir in orange zest, orange extract, and optional food coloring.

3. Cool for 10 minutes, then refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.

4. Scoop and roll the orange ganache into small balls. Place on parchment-lined tray and freeze for 15–20 minutes.

5. Melt dark chocolate with coconut oil in a heatproof bowl using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.

6. Dip each orange ball into the melted chocolate. Let excess drip off.

7. Roll in chocolate sprinkles and return to parchment.

8. Refrigerate truffles for 30 minutes to fully set.

9. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

Use a cookie scoop for even-sized truffles and faster rolling.

Don’t skip chilling the ganache—it makes dipping much easier.

Add orange zest on top for extra color and flavor punch.
