This Easy Cheeseburger Pasta Dinner Casserole brings together everything you love about a cheeseburger and a hearty pasta bake. With tender curly pasta, flavorful seasoned beef, a creamy tomato-cheese sauce, and a bubbly, melty cheese topping—this dinner is always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
12 ounces cavatappi pasta
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
1 small onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 cup heavy cream or milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with diced onions until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
2. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Add the heavy cream or milk, stirring to combine. Adjust with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to pot.
5. Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine the beef mixture with the pasta. Stir in half the shredded cheese.
6. Transfer to a greased casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese.
7. Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
8. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melting results.
For a spicy twist, add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes.
To make this ahead, assemble and refrigerate (unbaked) for up to 24 hours.
