Description
These Easy Creamy Jalapeño Poppers are a spicy, cheesy delight perfect for parties, game days, or late-night snacks. Fresh jalapeños are halved and filled with a creamy, savory mixture of cheeses and spices, then baked until golden brown and bubbling. They’re easy to prepare and irresistibly delicious.
Ingredients
12 large jalapeños
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
3 green onions, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese or cooked bacon bits for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
2. Cut each jalapeño in half lengthwise. Scoop out seeds and membranes to reduce the heat.
3. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, green onions, salt, and pepper until smooth.
4. Spoon or pipe the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
5. Optionally, sprinkle Parmesan or bacon bits over the filled peppers.
6. Place the jalapeños on the baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until the tops are golden and bubbly.
7. Let cool slightly. Garnish with extra green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Use gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid irritation.
Press the filling slightly into the jalapeños so it doesn’t overflow when baking.
For best results, bake them on the middle rack to get even browning.
