Description
This hearty one-pan meal combines savory ground beef, golden potatoes, and flavorful spices for a comforting dish that’s easy to whip up on any weeknight. Perfect for busy families or meal prep, it’s a satisfying dinner that’s big on taste without the fuss.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1.5 pounds golden or baby potatoes, halved or sliced
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for sautéing)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain excess grease if necessary and set beef aside.
2. In the same skillet, add olive oil if the pan is dry. Sauté diced onion for 3–4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
3. Add sliced potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes. Stir to coat potatoes with spices. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are fork-tender.
4. Return beef to skillet. Stir everything together and let cook for an additional 3–5 minutes to meld flavors.
5. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Cut potatoes into uniform sizes to ensure even cooking.
Cover the skillet tightly to help steam the potatoes while they sauté.
For added richness, stir in shredded cheese or a pat of butter before serving.
