Description

This Easy Layered Christmas Jello is a colorful, make-ahead holiday dessert featuring red and green fruity gelatin with a creamy white middle. It’s fun, festive, and perfect for parties, potlucks, or cozy family celebrations.

Ingredients

1 box lime Jello (3 oz)

1 box cherry or strawberry Jello (3 oz)

1 packet unflavored gelatin (0.25 oz)

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

2 cups boiling water (1 cup per Jello layer)

2 cups cold water (1 cup per Jello layer)

1 cup boiling water (for the unflavored gelatin layer)

1/4 cup cold water (for blooming unflavored gelatin)

Optional: crushed peppermint, festive sprinkles, or red candies for topping

Instructions

1. Dissolve lime Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then add 1 cup cold water. Pour into a 9×13-inch dish and refrigerate for 1 hour or until fully set.

2. Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water. Let it bloom for 5 minutes. Add 3/4 cup boiling water and stir to dissolve.

3. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add gelatin mixture and blend. Fold in whipped topping until combined.

4. Carefully spread the cream layer over the green Jello. Refrigerate for 1 hour until set.

5. Dissolve cherry or strawberry Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1 cup cold water. Let cool slightly (not set), then gently pour over cream layer. Chill for 2 hours or until firm.

6. Cut into squares and top with optional garnishes before serving.

Notes

Use a hot knife (wiped dry) for clean cuts through the layers.

Make sure each layer sets completely before adding the next to avoid mixing.

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and thawed whipped topping.
