Description

These Easy Sloppy Joe Biscuits combine the bold, sweet-savory flavors of classic sloppy joes with flaky, golden biscuit cups. Perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or lunchbox-friendly meals, they’re mess-free, handheld, and impossible to resist.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup tomato sauce

1/3 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.

3. Add diced onion and garlic; cook until softened, about 2–3 minutes.

4. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, mustard, and brown sugar. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

5. Flatten each biscuit slightly and press into muffin cups to form shells.

6. Fill each cup generously with the meat mixture.

7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until biscuits are golden and cooked through.

8. Cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Don’t overfill the biscuit cups to avoid spillage during baking.

Use parchment under your muffin tin to catch any bubbling sauce.

For a spicier twist, add red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the meat mixture.
