Description
These Ghost Cookies are the perfect blend of spooky and sweet! With a soft chocolate chip cookie base, gooey marshmallow ghosts, and a smooth white chocolate drape, they’re fun to make and even more fun to eat. A festive treat that’s great for Halloween parties, school events, or an afternoon of baking with kids.
Ingredients
12 chocolate chip cookies
12 large marshmallows
1 ½ cups white chocolate melts or candy coating
36 mini chocolate chips (or black icing)
Parchment paper or cooling rack (optional)
Instructions
1. Bake or prepare chocolate chip cookies and allow them to cool completely.
2. Place one large marshmallow upright in the center of each cookie.
3. Melt white chocolate melts in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
4. Spoon or pour melted chocolate over each marshmallow, letting it drip naturally for a ghost-like effect.
5. While the chocolate is still soft, add two mini chocolate chips as eyes and one for the mouth.
6. Let the cookies sit at room temperature or chill briefly until the chocolate sets completely.
7. Serve on a festive platter and enjoy!
Notes
Be sure the cookies are cool before decorating, or the marshmallow and chocolate may melt too quickly.
Use candy eyes or edible markers to personalize each ghost’s expression.
If stacking cookies for storage, use parchment paper to avoid smudging the designs.
