This baked cod recipe is healthy, full of fresh lemon and garlic flavors, and comes together in less than 30 minutes. The butter and lemon combo keeps the fish tender and flavorful, while a sprinkle of paprika and fresh herbs ties it all together.


Ingredients

4 boneless cod fillets

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

4 lemon slices

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and cracked black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line or grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat cod fillets dry and place them in the baking dish.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add garlic on top.
  4. Pour lemon juice over each fillet and place a lemon slice on each.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the fish.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cod is opaque and flakes easily.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
