Ingredients
2 large Russet potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 teaspoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Slice the potatoes thinly using a mandolin slicer for even thickness.
2. Soak the slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Drain and pat the slices dry with paper towels.
4. In a large bowl, toss the dry slices with olive oil, sea salt, and garlic powder (if using).
5. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
6. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping.
7. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes until golden and crisp.
8. Remove and cool on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate.
9. Sprinkle with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispness, be thorough when drying the potato slices after soaking.
Slice consistently thin using a mandolin for the best texture.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
