Ingredients
1 pound ground chicken
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for cooking)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, maple syrup, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
2. Form mixture into small patties, about 2.5 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. Set aside on parchment paper.
3. Heat olive oil or butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
4. Cook patties in batches for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
5. Serve immediately or cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator (up to 4 days) or freezer (up to 2 months).
Notes
For extra juicy patties, use a mix of light and dark ground chicken.
Avoid overmixing the meat to keep the texture tender.
Freeze uncooked patties flat, then transfer to a freezer bag for easy portioning.
