Description

A golden, crispy sandwich filled with gooey mozzarella, sweet ripe bananas, and a drizzle of honey. This honey banana grilled cheese is a simple yet indulgent treat, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an unexpected dessert twist.


Ingredients

2 slices brioche or sandwich bread

1 tablespoon butter

1 ripe banana, sliced

2 slices mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon honey


Instructions

1. Peel and slice the banana into 1/4-inch rounds.

2. Butter one side of each bread slice.

3. Place one slice of mozzarella on the unbuttered side of one bread slice.

4. Add banana slices and drizzle honey over them.

5. Top with another slice of mozzarella and the second piece of bread (buttered side facing out).

6. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

7. Grill the sandwich for 2–3 minutes on each side, pressing gently until golden and the cheese is melted.

8. Let rest for 1 minute before slicing and serving.

Notes

Choose bananas that are ripe but firm so they hold their shape when grilled.

Use low to medium heat to avoid burning the bread before the cheese melts.

Add peanut butter or cinnamon for extra flavor depth.
