Description

Honey Lemon Chicken is a sweet and tangy dish with golden-seared chicken thighs coated in a sticky honey-lemon glaze. Perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings, it’s easy to make and loaded with comforting flavors.


Ingredients

4 chicken thighs

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley or thyme (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, flip, and cook another 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, soy sauce, and a splash of water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

4. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top. Cover and simmer 15-20 minutes until cooked through and sauce is sticky.

5. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes

Use bone-in, skin-on thighs for best texture and flavor.

Adjust cooking time if using boneless cuts.

Add red pepper flakes or sriracha if you like it spicy.
