Description

This Hot Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso brings bold coffee flavor and cozy sweetness in one steamy cup. Shaken with brown sugar, cinnamon, and espresso, then topped with creamy frothed milk—it’s your perfect coffee shop experience at home.


Ingredients

2 shots espresso

1 to 1.5 tablespoons brown sugar

1 pinch cinnamon

1 splash vanilla extract (optional)

½ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

½ cup ice (for shaking)


Instructions

1. Brew 2 shots of espresso (or ⅓ cup of strong coffee) using an espresso machine, Nespresso, or moka pot.

2. Stir in 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon while espresso is hot. Add vanilla extract if using. Mix until dissolved.

3. Pour the sweetened espresso into a shaker or jar with ½ cup of ice. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.

4. Heat and froth ½ cup of milk using a frother, whisk, or shaking in a jar.

5. Reheat the shaken espresso (optional) in a microwave for 15–20 seconds if you want it hot.

6. Pour espresso into a mug and top with frothed milk. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy!

Notes

For best flavor, use dark brown sugar to get that deep molasses richness.

Oat milk gives a smooth, creamy foam without overpowering the coffee.
