This Irresistible Christmas Toffee Bark is the ultimate holiday treat—crunchy, buttery toffee layered with creamy melted chocolate and topped with toasted nuts. It’s easy to make, perfect for gifting, and looks as good as it tastes.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate (chopped or in melting wafers)
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
3. Stir in sugar and salt. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and turns golden (about 10–12 minutes).
4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
5. Immediately pour the toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch thick.
6. Let sit for 1–2 minutes, then sprinkle the chocolate on top.
7. Allow chocolate to melt, then spread it evenly with a spatula.
8. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the melted chocolate and press gently.
9. Cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge.
10. Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!
Notes
Use a candy thermometer for precision: aim for 300°F (hard crack stage).
To avoid grainy toffee, stir continuously and keep heat steady.
