Description

This Jarlsberg Cheese Dip is irresistibly creamy, cheesy, and full of nutty, savory flavor. Serve it warm and bubbly or chilled and spreadable—either way, it’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser perfect for holidays, potlucks, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups grated Jarlsberg cheese

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup sour cream (optional)

¼ cup finely diced red onion

2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

½ teaspoon garlic powder (or 1 small clove fresh garlic, minced)

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Grate Jarlsberg cheese fresh using a box grater or food processor.

2. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream (if using), red onion, chives, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.

3. Fold in the shredded cheese until evenly combined.

4. For chilled dip: cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

5. For baked dip: transfer to a baking dish and bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.

6. Garnish with extra chives or cracked pepper and serve with bread, crackers, or veggies.

Notes

For best texture, always grate the cheese fresh instead of using pre-shredded.

Want extra flavor? Add crumbled bacon or a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days and reheat gently to maintain creaminess.
