Description

This Keto Hamburger and Broccoli Skillet is a low-carb, one-pan meal that’s perfect for quick weeknight dinners. Juicy browned beef and crisp-tender broccoli are tossed with melty cheddar cheese for a cozy, satisfying meal. With minimal ingredients and maximum flavor, this skillet dinner is keto comfort food at its best.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)

3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or thawed frozen)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil or butter

1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil or butter.
  2. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. While beef is cooking, steam or blanch the broccoli until just tender (about 2-3 minutes), then drain.
  4. Add the broccoli to the skillet and stir to combine with the cooked beef. Cook for 2-3 more minutes.
  5. (Optional) Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2 minutes to thicken slightly.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover with a lid and cook for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy.
