Ingredients
2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless, cubed)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 lemon (zest and juice)
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
12 ounces bowtie pasta (farfalle)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken dry, season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet, sear chicken until golden brown, remove and set aside.
3. Boil bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add lemon zest and juice.
5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, whisking until smooth. Thin with pasta water if needed.
6. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce until well coated.
7. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it.
8. Garnish with parsley and crushed red pepper. Serve hot.
Notes
Always reserve pasta water; it helps adjust the sauce consistency.
Fresh lemon juice makes a big difference—avoid bottled if possible.
For extra flavor, sauté vegetables like broccoli or spinach in the skillet before making the sauce.
