Ingredients
8 cups brioche bread, cubed (about 1 loaf)
1 cup sliced deli ham, chopped
1 cup sliced deli turkey, chopped
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
6 large eggs
2 cups milk or half-and-half
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Maple syrup, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- Layer half of the bread cubes in the dish, followed by ham, turkey, and half the cheese.
- Add remaining bread cubes and sprinkle on the rest of the cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole. Press gently to soak.
- Let it sit for 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until golden and set.
- Let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup, if desired.
