Description

These Mouthwatering Shrimp Tacos are packed with bold, zesty flavors—spiced shrimp, lime slaw, creamy avocado, and tangy chipotle sauce all wrapped in a warm tortilla. Perfect for weeknights or weekend get-togethers, they’re quick to make and full of fresh, coastal vibes.

Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups shredded cabbage (purple or green)

1 tablespoon lime juice (for slaw)

1 avocado, sliced

1/2 cup cotija or feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup chipotle mayo or chipotle sauce

8 corn or flour tortillas

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine shrimp with olive oil, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and salt. Toss to coat evenly.

2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and slightly charred.

3. In a separate bowl, toss shredded cabbage with lime juice and a pinch of salt. Let it sit to soften.

4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or over an open flame for 30 seconds per side. Wrap in a towel to keep warm.

5. Assemble tacos by layering cabbage slaw, shrimp, avocado slices, and cheese onto tortillas. Drizzle with chipotle mayo.

6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately with lime wedges.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp—they only need 2–3 minutes per side.

Warm tortillas just before serving to keep them soft and pliable.

Make the slaw ahead to let flavors meld while prepping other ingredients.
