Description

Old-Fashioned Bologna Salad is a creamy, savory, and crunchy retro classic made with diced bologna, celery, and sweet pickle relish, all tossed in a tangy mayonnaise-mustard dressing. It’s perfect for sandwiches, crackers, or just straight out of the bowl!

Ingredients

2 cups bologna, diced

1 cup celery, finely chopped

1/3 cup sweet pickle relish

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped (optional)

2 tablespoons onion, grated or finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Dice the bologna into small cubes or pulse in a food processor for a finer texture.

2. Chop the celery, hard-boiled eggs, and onion if using.

3. In a large bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, and yellow mustard.

4. Add the bologna, celery, eggs, and onion to the bowl. Stir until fully combined.

5. Cover and chill the salad for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

6. Serve on bread, with crackers, or eat straight with a fork.

Notes

For the best texture and flavor, use thick-cut or deli-style bologna.

Sweet relish brings a classic flavor, but dill relish offers a more savory option.

Chill before serving—it improves taste and texture.
