Description
These Orange Creamsicle Truffles are creamy, citrusy, no-bake treats made with a dreamy blend of cream cheese, white chocolate, orange zest, and vanilla. With their bright flavor and smooth texture, they’re a perfect party dessert or edible gift that tastes like your favorite childhood popsicle — in truffle form.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
12 oz white chocolate, divided
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon orange extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 drop orange gel food coloring (optional)
Instructions
1. Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature. In a mixing bowl, beat until smooth.
2. Add powdered sugar, orange zest, orange extract, and vanilla. Add gel food coloring if using. Mix until fully combined.
3. Melt 6 oz of the white chocolate and let cool slightly. Stir into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours until firm.
5. Scoop and roll into 1-inch balls. Chill again for 15 minutes.
6. Melt the remaining 6 oz white chocolate.
7. Dip each truffle in melted chocolate and place on a parchment-lined tray.
8. Drizzle with orange-colored chocolate or top with zest. Let set.
Notes
For the smoothest finish, use melting wafers or couverture white chocolate.
Do not substitute orange juice for extract — the flavor and texture won’t hold.
Chill the filling well before rolling to make shaping easier.
