Flaky, golden puff pastry filled with a creamy mix of spinach, mozzarella, cream cheese, and Parmesan. These cheesy twists are perfect for parties, brunches, or anytime snacking.
Ingredients
2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)
1 cup fresh spinach, cooked and squeezed dry (or 1/2 cup thawed frozen spinach)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, spinach, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly on a floured surface. Cut each sheet into 1-inch wide strips.
- Spread filling on half of the strips. Top with remaining strips, press edges, and twist gently.
- Place on the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle extra Parmesan on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Cool slightly before serving.
