Parmesan and Spinach Cheese Twists

Description

Flaky, golden puff pastry filled with a creamy mix of spinach, mozzarella, cream cheese, and Parmesan. These cheesy twists are perfect for parties, brunches, or anytime snacking.


Ingredients

2 puff pastry sheets, thawed

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)

1 cup fresh spinach, cooked and squeezed dry (or 1/2 cup thawed frozen spinach)

1 garlic clove, minced

1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, spinach, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out puff pastry slightly on a floured surface. Cut each sheet into 1-inch wide strips.
  4. Spread filling on half of the strips. Top with remaining strips, press edges, and twist gently.
  5. Place on the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle extra Parmesan on top.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.
