Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks are packed with seasoned beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and layered with gooey melted cheese inside soft, golden bread. Topped with garlic butter and baked until bubbly, they make the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer or savory snack.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or shaved steak

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 bell pepper, finely chopped

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

4 hoagie rolls or 1 large soft baguette

4 slices provolone cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

3 tbsp butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onions and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté until soft. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Let cool slightly.
  3. Slice the bread lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Hollow out some of the interior.
  4. Fill the bread with beef mixture. Add provolone slices and top with shredded mozzarella.
  5. Mix melted butter and garlic. Brush over the tops of the breadsticks.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Optionally, broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispness. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
