It’s a quick appetizer, ideal for easy dinner spreads, potluck food ideas, or holiday snack boards. Whether you’re planning a cozy game night or festive celebration, this easy recipe is a crowd-pleaser loaded with flavor.

Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup crushed pineapple, very well drained

1/2 cup chopped green onions

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1 cup chopped pecans (for coating)

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp salt (optional)

Crackers, pretzels, or fresh veggies (for serving)

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crushed pineapple, chopped green onions, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.

2. Mix until smooth using a hand mixer or spatula.

3. Shape the mixture into a round ball using plastic wrap or greased hands.

4. Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.

5. Once chilled, roll the cheese ball in the remaining 1 cup chopped pecans, pressing gently to coat evenly.

6. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggies on a platter. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.

Notes

Be sure to drain the pineapple thoroughly or the cheese ball will be too wet to shape.

For best texture, roll the cheese ball in pecans right before serving.

Make it a day in advance for deeper flavor and convenience.
