Description

These no-bake Puppy Chow Bars are a chewy, chocolatey twist on classic muddy buddies—made for slicing, stacking, and sharing. With peanut butter, chocolate, and crispy cereal, they’re the ultimate fuss-free dessert bar.

Ingredients

6 cups Chex cereal

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

4 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup powdered sugar (for topping)

Instructions

1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

3. Stir in vanilla extract.

4. Add Chex cereal and gently fold until evenly coated.

5. Transfer the coated cereal into the prepared pan and press down gently and evenly.

6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour until firm.

7. Remove from pan, dust with powdered sugar, slice into bars, and serve.

Notes

For best texture, use fresh Chex cereal and avoid crushing it when mixing.

Press the mixture down firmly in the pan for bars that slice cleanly.

For extra flair, drizzle with melted white chocolate before chilling.
