Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1/2 pound sliced corned beef
1 cup sauerkraut, drained and squeezed dry
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (or slices)
1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing (plus extra for dipping)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley or caraway seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to a 10×14-inch rectangle and place on the baking sheet.
- Spread a thin layer of Thousand Island dressing down the center third.
- Layer corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese over the dressing.
- Cut slits along both long sides of the pastry and braid strips over the filling.
- Tuck in the ends to seal, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with parsley or caraway seeds.
