Description
Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole is the ultimate comfort food—creamy shredded chicken baked under a golden, buttery cracker topping. It’s quick to prepare, crowd-pleasing, and perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or make-ahead freezer meals.
Ingredients
3 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 sleeve Ritz crackers
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
3. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
4. Crush the Ritz crackers and mix them with melted butter until coated.
5. Sprinkle the buttery cracker topping evenly over the casserole.
6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
7. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For the best texture, always bake the casserole uncovered to keep the cracker topping crisp.
Rotisserie chicken adds a savory depth and saves time—shred it finely for even layering.
Add a handful of shredded cheddar or a dash of hot sauce to the filling for extra flavor.
