Ingredients
2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling or 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced and tossed with 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 box yellow cake mix (approx. 15.25 oz)
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Optional: Fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread into the baking dish.
- Spoon the strawberry filling over the cream cheese layer evenly.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top—do not stir.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
