Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into bite-sized cubes

3 tbsp butter

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tbsp tomato paste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, toss chicken with paprika, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper (if desired), salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Make the Sauce: Melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter in the same skillet. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes. Pour in chicken broth, scraping any browned bits from the pan. Add heavy cream and stir until smooth. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Combine and Finish: Return chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully heated.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and enjoy with rice, naan, or mashed potatoes.
