Description

This Texas Roadhouse-style garlic butter chicken skillet is a quick and comforting dinner packed with juicy chicken bites seared until golden, then coated in a silky garlic butter sauce. It’s rich, simple, and perfect for busy weeknights or indulgent weekends.


Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

4 garlic cloves, minced

4 tablespoons butter, divided

1 tablespoon olive oil

⅓ cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley

½ teaspoon paprika (optional)


Instructions

1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and cut into bite-sized chunks. Season with salt and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.

3. Add chicken pieces in a single layer and sear for 4–5 minutes without moving. Flip and cook for another 4 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

6. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with garlic butter sauce. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley and paprika if using. Serve hot.

Notes

Make sure the skillet is hot before searing the chicken to lock in juices and achieve a golden crust.

Don’t burn the garlic — reduce the heat before adding it and stir constantly.

Fresh parsley adds brightness, but a squeeze of lemon can also enhance flavor if you like citrusy notes.
