Description

This crock pot hot cocoa is rich, creamy, and loaded with chocolate flavor. It’s the ultimate cozy treat for winter nights or holiday parties. Hands-off and crowd-friendly, this hot chocolate is topped with melty marshmallows and ready to sip all evening long.

Ingredients

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

marshmallows for topping (optional)

Instructions

1. Set crock pot to low heat and whisk cocoa powder with sweetened condensed milk directly in the pot until smooth.

2. Add whole milk, heavy cream, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk everything together well.

3. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.

4. Once fully heated and chocolate chips are melted, give a final stir. Adjust sweetness if desired.

5. Ladle into mugs and top with marshmallows—toast if desired.

Notes

Whisk the cocoa with condensed milk first to prevent lumps.

Stir every 30 minutes for smooth, even chocolate melting.

Use Dutch-processed cocoa for the richest flavor.
