Description
Winter Wonderland Truffles are the perfect bite-sized treat for the holidays. Made from soft vanilla cake and cream cheese frosting, dipped in colorful candy melts, and topped with festive sprinkles, these truffles are fun, vibrant, and deliciously indulgent.
Ingredients
3 cups crumbled vanilla cake
4 tablespoons cream cheese frosting
1 cup white candy melts
1 cup pink candy melts
3 tablespoons sprinkles
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare a vanilla cake using your favorite boxed mix or homemade recipe. Allow it to cool completely.
2. Crumble the cake into fine crumbs using clean hands or a food processor.
3. Add cream cheese frosting a spoonful at a time, mixing until the dough comes together easily.
4. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill for 30 minutes.
5. Melt candy melts in separate bowls according to package directions.
6. Dip each chilled ball in melted candy, using a fork or dipping tool, and let excess drip off.
7. Immediately top with sprinkles before the coating sets.
8. Let truffles set completely on parchment paper.
9. Serve or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Notes
Do not overmix the frosting into the cake crumbs—start small and add more only if needed.
Work in small batches when dipping to keep the candy melts smooth and warm.
Add sprinkles immediately after dipping—candy coating sets fast.
